Paul's Update - 07/26/06

Dear Friends:

Tabby & Paul slept in this morning. Dad took care of Max so Tabby could sleep in. Dad got Paul up and dressed about 11am and everyone took a road trip to our house. Tabby went and got Mexican food ... tacos, taco burgers & chips for lunch. Then apparently Dad & Tabby had been conspiring to come to our house and start the rehab process for my kitchen. This is a project that was suppose to happen in March and got delayed because of Paul's accident. They proceeded to tear down a wall in the kitchen that separated what use to be a laundry room from the kitchen. We added a room onto the house last year that now serves as the laundry room so this rehabilitation will increase the size of my kitchen to twice the size it is now. Dora watched Paul and Auntie Carolyn was watching Max when I arrived home. Since the kitchen was in shambles ... it was apparent that we were going to eat out tonight. We were able to go out with our friends Bill & Ronda ... along with Tabby, Paul & Max. Just as we were getting ready to go out for dinner we got a call from Bobby. He got home safe and had a great time in Myrtle Beach. I guess he did some work while he was there ... Ha! Ha! Tabby was relieved to have him home tonight. We got a call from the insurance company today and they said that Paul's custom made wheelchair is ready for delivery. They plan to deliver on Friday. Thursday we have an appointment with someone from Brain Injury Services. They are following up on our progress and checking to see if they can help us in any way. Dad thinks it is a good idea to find out if they can suggest ways to prevent losing our therapists. Paul was walking better today. It was also a day that Paul had 600mg of Dilantin. He gets only 400mg tonight so we will see how he does tomorrow. He was pretty tired tonight by the time we got back to his house. Tabby got a call from a friend today who's father had an aneurism and suffered severe brain injury. Please pray for Sarah and her family.

Have a great day! Lynne & Carl
