Paul's Update - 05/26/06

Dear Friends:

It appears we are back on track. Paul had a good day. He had a somewhat annoying roommate who complained about everything. Tabby had already decided she wanted to push to have Paul released today if possible. She started trying to reach the doctor first thing this morning. She finally saw him at 1pm and he agreed that it would be good for Paul to go home. Paul now has to take a new medicine to prevent seizures. The transport was ordered to come between 4 & 5pm. He was home by about 6pm. He seems to respond to questions again and when he was asked if he wanted to go home he nodded "yes". Tabby said that he mouthed the words "I love you" today. Otherwise he was pretty tired and slept quite a bit. Hopefully we will be able to tell if there was any setback from the seizure in the next couple of days. He will go back to see his neurologist on June 8. He also has an orthopedist next Tuesday for the removal of the stitches in his foot. Tabby also got a call from the agency that will do the customization on the van. She will take it to them on June 6. Tonight Dad & I went out to eat dinner with some friends. Bobby stayed home with Tabby & Paul. It was nice for Dad to be able to get away for an evening. It is easy to see why you could get burned out trying to care for a loved one 24x7. We are so blessed to have family that works together for the best recovery Paul can have! As always, thanks for your prayers. God has gotten us through another very tough event!

Have a great holiday weekend! Lynne & Carl
