Paul's Update - 11/10/06
Dear Friends:
I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up ... many of our days are so busy and Carl and I don't always get time to talk about how the day has gone. Paul has been feeling pretty good and there are no obvious problems from the medicine change that we did last week. Tabby is feeling better but still fighting a cold. Paul is also coughing a bit so I expect he will be fighting a cold for the next few days. Paul has been "talking" more. He only says "ou" but when Dad asks do you need something he shakes his head no. Dad asked if he is just trying to talk and he nodded yes. He tries to vary his sounds but the only thing we can clearly understand "hi". Ozzy is having more difficulty with the training process the last couple of days. He has had lots of accidents in the house ... even after just going outside!! Paul has figured out that if Ozzy is in the bed and gets near him that he will lick his face. So Paul now holds Ozzy down and away from his face. He is gentle with him but doesn't want the puppy in his face!! Paul has watched several more movies over the last few days. Tabby had to move the older/smaller TV back down to the bedroom. It seems the problem with the Cable TV is not the cable at all ... it is the TV! Looks like time to invest in a new TV! Friday was blood testing day. This will be the test to determine if we can eliminate the rest of the Dilantin. It will only happen if the Trileptol level is high enough. We will probably hear something mid week next week. Dad had to be gone most of the afternoon to work on our kitchen. Tabby went out for a bit with Max to run errands while Dora stayed with Paul. We stopped by later in the evening after going out to dinner with Bill & Ronda to help Tabby get Paul ready for bed. Carl is making progress (along with help from BJ & Jimmy) to get the walls ready to put up our new cabinets. Thank goodness for long weekends!!
Have a great weekend! Lynne & Carl
