Paul's Update - 04/07/07

Dear Friends:

Friday started out early as usual for Paul. After dressing & getting breakfast, Dad took Paul to the doctor's office to have his blood drawn. The doctor is of course pleased with Paul's progress. He wants to have an MRI done soon so we can see the progress of Paul's healing. Hopefully as soon as the doctor's office gets a preapproval from Medicaid we can schedule something. The doctor also wrote a prescription for outpatient therapy so Dad can start taking Paul to the hospital and use their therapy services and equipment. While Paul was at the doctor's office Dad asked his how he was doing. Paul said "I'm doing average!". After Dad got Paul home they worked a bit on the alphabet and some of the speech exercises. Saturday morning we got up to a light coating of snow on the ground!! I was gone most of the morning and then had a birthday party for our granddaughter Alysa at 12:15pm. She is now seven years old. Billy & Carolyn organized a birthday party at a play place called "Pumping up". They had blowup slides and moon bounces for the kids to play on. I think they all had fun. Dad was at home with Paul & Gladys. Paul had a good day. After the birthday party we met up with Bill & Ronda and headed to Warrenton to have Mexican food. Paul (and Gladys) went with us. Paul at a lot of food and seemed to enjoy it but on the way home he threw up in the van. This has happened before so we may have to order something milder for Paul when we go there. Later this evening he was feeling better and we went to the bowling alley with Bill & Ronda and some of their kids. Paul sat just behind us and watched. He got to have Pizza and soda ... so he was happy! We got home pretty late and Paul was ready for bed! Sunday morning will come early for us ... Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30!

Happy Easter- Jesus Christ is Alive! Lynne & Carl
